State tournament starts today

The MIAA announced the brackets for the state baseball tournament
Tuesday.  Six city league teams made the cut; here is a rundown of
when and where they will be playing this week:

In Division 3 action, city league champions Madison Park (8-9), the
#16 seed, will host Saugus (5-15) June 2 at noon.  On the other side
of the D3 bracket, Brighton (9-9, #15 seed) hosts Watertown (3-17)
June 2 at 4 p.m. and #14 Charlestown (9-9) hosts Stoneham (2-16) June
2 at 4 p.m.

In Division 4 play, city league runner-up West Roxbury (11-9, #7 seed)
hosts Georgetown ( 6-14) tomorrow at 4 p.m..  South Boston (11-7, #3
seed) is on the same side of the bracket; they get a bye before
hosting Northeast (11-9) Monday at 4 p.m..  O’Bryant (11-8, #4 seed),
the city league’s South Division Champs,  will host Trinity (11-9)
Monday at 4 p.m.
