OB starts fast, cools off

O’Bryant fell to Cathedral in their season opener on Saturday by a count of 30-8.  The Tigers took an 8-0 lead after a safety and a 60 yard punt return by Randy Little, but couldn’t keep their momentum for four quarters.

“We caught them on that special teams play,” said Coach Kevin Gadson, “but we’re working on all aspects of the game.”

Gadson’s team has suffered some injuries already this season. Even without all their manpower in place, the Tigers (0-1) are filling the gaps and trying to execute.

“We have young players on this team,” said Gadson, whose squad begins league play at Eastie on Friday.  “We just can’t afford to make mistakes.”
