South Boston and East Boston will battle for playoff spot

The 94th matchup between South Boston High and East Boston High will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning at White Stadium.

Both teams have had great seasons and the outcome of the game will decide the Boston North league title as well as advancing to play Blue Hills in a Division 4A playoff game on Tuesday.

The Knights, led by Coach Sean Guthrie, who is completing his fourth season, are 6-4. The East Boston Jets, led by second year coach John Parziale, are 6-3.

Last year, the Jets defeated South Boston by a score of 28-6 and ended the season at 7-3.  The Knights ended at 4-5.  South Boston last won the game in 2008 by a score of 34-6.

Overall, East Boston leads the rivalry with a record of 45-42-6.
